Follow the path in order

    Investigate before judging

    Search the Baron's estate and exhaust the available dialogue. The context behind the family conflict matters more than the first accusation.

  2. 02

    Decide the botchling outcome

    The encounter changes depending on how you handle the cursed child. Choose deliberately and keep a save if you want to compare the scene.

  3. 03

    Follow the swamp trail

    Continue through the family clue route into Crookback Bog. Do not treat the estate as the end of the storyline.

  4. 04

    Resolve the Whispering Hillock

    The spirit decision alters the fate of several characters. Read the local context before choosing whether to free or destroy it.

    Check the delayed outcome

    The full consequence is revealed later, so avoid assuming the immediate scene is the final state of the characters.

Avoid the expensive reset

Saves made after the botchling or spirit encounter may be too late to compare the other branch.
